The Disaster Recovery (DR) Analyst is responsible for maintaining business continuity plans and executing tests involving the recovery of the IT Operations from our primary to our secondary data center. The DR analyst combines knowledge of data center and system infrastructure technology with experience as a technical project manager in support of DR migrations, testing, and/or leadership during the execution of an actual DR event.

Responsibilities of the Disaster Recovery Analyst include but are not limited to:

o Ownership of both DR migrations (remediation of systems to be made DR-capable) and DR tests (proof-of-concept and DR preparedness simulations) for our customer?s environments.
o Coordination with appropriate personnel to plan tests and schedule migration and testing dates
o Leading weekly meetings to determine technical requirements for DR migration testing.
o Preparing written test documents to be used during the migration and DR test.
o Preparing informational documents to distribute to the customer prior to the migration.
o Leading technical teams to determine server and network configuration requirements for DR (e.g. host takeover, firewall rules, port mapping), and manage associated change control records
o Scheduling lead DR test conference calls.
o Preparing and deliver post-test documentation, verifying test success.
o Maintaining auditability of Business Continuity documentation related to the IT Infrastructure.
o Other duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

o Business continuity program management experience.
o Technical knowledge with strategies to recover systems utilizing an active dual-site (geographically dispersed) data center strategy.
o Technical skills and understanding of recovery capabilities with distributed Linux servers and TCP/IP networking (experience with VMware a plus).
o College degree in Computer Science or related field; at least two years? experience with disaster recovery planning (or additional experience in lieu of a college degree).
o Proven leadership and accountability skills.
o ITIL and/or PMP foundational knowledge (or equivalent knowledge with IT service management).
